3CivicLex Consulting ServicesCivicLex helps organizations run community meetings, surveys, and public engagement projects. They offer two main services: a handbook to help other cities start their own civic groups, and consulting to help organizations get real input from their community. They work with companies, nonprofits, and government groups that want to truly listen to residents. All their regular programs stay free because they earn money from consulting.
K-12 Civic Education ProgramsCivicLex brings civics education to Fayette County schools through classroom workshops, Civic Expos, student project support, and teacher training. Students learn about local government, connect with community organizations, and work on civic engagement projects. Teachers get real-world experience in government departments. Programs serve thousands of students across Lexington each year and help meet Kentucky Academic Standards for Social Studies.
Civic Workshops - Learn About Local GovernmentCivicLex teaches workshops to help people understand how local government works in Lexington. They offer three different workshops: one about how city government is set up and who's in charge, one about the city budget and how tax money gets spent, and one about how to speak up for issues you care about. Each workshop is 75 minutes long and includes fun activities. They can come to your group's location or you can come to theirs. These workshops help regular people learn how to get involved in their community and make their voices heard in local government.
