LISC helps local community groups become stronger and more effective. They provide money, training, and expert advice to help these organizations serve their neighborhoods better. Organizations can get grants to improve how they operate, plan new programs, or work on community projects. LISC has given $1.9 billion in grants to local partners. They have staff in 34 local offices who know each community's needs. This support helps groups tackle housing, jobs, safety, education, and other important issues in their neighborhoods.
