7Digital Skills ClassesCompudopt offers free computer classes to help people learn basic digital skills. You can take classes on computer basics, email, internet safety, Google tools like Docs and Slides, and using computers for job searches. Classes are available in both English and Spanish. These classes help people who don't have much experience with computers learn the skills they need for work and daily life. You can also access hundreds of free video lessons through their partner Achievery.
Device Donation ProgramCompudopt accepts old computers, laptops, and other devices from people and companies. They fix up these devices and give them for free to students and families who don't have computers at home. This helps close the digital divide by making sure everyone has access to technology. You can donate personal devices or corporate devices. They handle data destruction safely and will pick up your devices. All donations are tax-deductible and help provide technology access to under-resourced communities.
Community Portal for Digital ResourcesCompudopt's Community Portal helps people find resources for technology, money skills, and health. You can get help with getting affordable internet, learning to use computers, finding financial education, and accessing health programs. The portal has both national resources that work anywhere in the US and local resources in cities like Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas. This is a free online tool to connect people with digital equity resources in their community.
Compudopt Connect Low-Cost Internet ServiceCompudopt Connect provides affordable high-speed 5G internet service for families who need reliable internet access. The service costs $20 per month with no contracts, credit checks, or hidden fees. You can also prepay for 3 months ($57), 6 months ($108), or 1 year ($192) to save money. If you don't have a router, you can get one for a one-time cost of $99. This service helps families stay connected so kids can do homework online and adults can pay bills and work from home. The organization provides technical support to help you use the service.
