4Campus Free Speech Resources and TrainingPEN America helps college students, teachers, and school leaders protect free speech on campus while creating welcoming communities for everyone. They offer training workshops, guides with tips and advice, and reports about campus free speech issues. Their Campus Free Speech Guide teaches the 7 principles of balancing free expression with inclusive communities. They provide real examples from campus events and explain the laws that affect campus speech. Their team can also speak at conferences and lead panel discussions about these important topics.
Russian Independent Media ArchiveThis digital archive saves articles and reports from independent Russian news outlets from the past 20 years. It helps researchers, journalists, historians, and students study Russian history and media. The archive has over 3.5 million documents from 58 news outlets. You can search by date, type of story, and which news source published it. This protects important journalism that might otherwise be lost as Russian media outlets are shut down.
Online Abuse & Digital Safety SupportPEN America helps writers, journalists, and their allies stay safe from online harassment and threats. They provide training to learn how to protect yourself online, safety resources and guides, help for organizations to create better safety policies, and research on digital safety issues. The service is for anyone who faces online abuse because of their writing or identity, especially women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and minorities. Journalist Support and Protection ServicesPEN America helps journalists stay safe and fight fake news. They offer training to protect journalists from online bullying and harassment. They teach journalists how to spot and report false information. They also provide research and resources to help journalists do their work safely. The program includes online safety training, guides for handling digital threats, and tools to build trust with communities. All resources are free for journalists who need protection or want to learn how to fight disinformation.
